Hi there,
I am a Canadian citizen. I have lived in Mexico City for the past 4
years and started a relationship with a Mexican man. We are planning to
move to Canada next week and start the process to have him become a
Canadian citizen. I am originally from Montreal but we are going to
move to Vancouver (mostly because my boyfriend doesn´t speak French).
I went over the information contained on the CIC website. We are
planning to get married as soon as we arrive and to send an ´´In
Canada´´ request under the ´´Family Class Application Process´´.
We don´t know what we should tell the customs agent when we arrive at
the airport: should we be straight forward and tell the agent that we
are planning to get married and that I will sponsor my boyfriend until
he gets his permanent residency or should we be evasive and tell the
agent that I am returning to Canada and that my boyfriend will stay
with me while I am settling back. Will anything that we mention affect
my boyfriend´s stay in Canada ? Can he even be denied permission to
enter the country ?
Thanks,

(in reply to: Gay Immigration In Canada (Crossing The Border)) anything that might hint that your boyfriend will not return to Mexico and the END of his VISIT is enough to deny entry.

(in reply to: Gay Immigration In Canada (Crossing The Border)) This might be too late but the best website for advice that I came across was www.legit.ca.
