Hi everyone! We have landed at Toronto International Airport from Columbus, ohio (USA). Landing experience was very nice. While coming from USA we didnot submit our I-94s, we informed that we may come back in 3 weeks. At the Canada port of entry, the officer asked us how much money we are getting as proof of funds. We have some travellers checques of more than 10,000 dollars. So we informed the officer. She dint even look at them. She took our address to send the PR card and told us that it may take 4 to 6 weeks. Then we went to another officer who stamped our GOODS TO FOLLOW LIST.
But didnot stamp the GOODS CARRYING WITH US LIST. I dont know whats the reason. He dint even ask us what goods we have with us. He told us that while going back from Canada we need to get them registered at the airport, so that we can bring them back next time. Regarding jewelry he said we need to estimate them in a jewelry store in Canada, which is the only proof that it was in Canada. Could anyone please give me some advice on this about how I could bring all the items and jewelry which I have with me now,next time when I enter Canada, without paying tax.
Next day we applied for SIN at the nearest HR office. It was very simple process. They only see the passport and the landing paper.

Hey User just curiousity do you visit every immigration site and post your landing experience ...You guys are weird....
Today after learning some other immigration sites here just wanted to visit some of them and to my surprise all the boring people and parrots are there such us USER123 DEPARTURE bay ...what they do is post their shit in all the immigration sites... always the same shit ... GET A LIFE man ...

Not everyone has so much of time as you have....
So we dont go to all the sites... everyone refers to few sites.
