Hi,
I am nervous, I did my medical in Dec, 2005, I sent all the info they requested in Dec, 2005. The e-CAS changed to Medical Recieved by CIC last week.
I sent an e-mail to find out the status of my app and CIC sent me back an e-mail saying
"A letter was mailed requesting additional information"
What does this mean???? Please share your expe.

Sweet,
Since we don´t know when the letter was sent, I would allow another week to receive it. If by that time you don´t receive the letter, I would email CIC and state you received no letter as indicated in the earlier email. I would mention that the letter might have been lost and ask them politely if they could resend.

could this be that I was laid off and then again, I got a job recently. I sent a note to CIC saying I got a job. Could they requets my job verificion? Please comment..

I doubt it. Recent job changes almost never affect SW applications. They´re interested in your longer history, unless you just entered the work force recently and are using that as your sole basis for points.
But I wouldn´t try to guess what it is they need. Just be patient and wait for the letter...email them asking that they resend, if necessary.

No, I got re-hired from the same company that I lost the job. I have already sent my medical, bank stmt, W2...what else do they need...Man, it is chewing me :(
I can not wait to get that letter....

Email them and explain, if you can´t wait for their letter.
Don´t let it chew on you, because the whole process requires a huge amount of patience. Things get done in their own due course and time, as long as you provide the information that they want within the time frames.

Congratulation Sweet!
The letter is pne asking for your passport for visa. Once the web-site states medicals recvd. about 99% is followed by a letter for passport in 2-3 weeks time.

haha, richard those dumbasses at CIC buffalo asked me for updated employment letters after i clearly stated that my contract expired long before i even did the medicals. i had already secured enough points for continuous employment. unnecessary delays because of their stupidity!! its been 6 months since i did the medicals and i should have gotten the damn PPR by now!!
