Subject: My Ielts-GT Experience
  Hi All ,
I took my Ielts test last week in Vancouver . The test was relatively easy for me except for the reading section. I would like to share my experience with those who will be taking the test :

Listening :

This section demands 100% focus and attention as the recording is only played once and you are required to write the ans as u listen. My advice ; when u finished with each section , u will be given 30sec to check your ans, don?t check !! GO to the next set of questions and quickly scan through the next set of question again, before you know it . The next recording starts again , there is hardly time left for you to briefly understand the question.

Reading:

As u might have heard from a lot of people in the forum, time is always a constraint in this section. I was given a lot of the dreadful, True , False and Not given questions . My advice : Read the questions first and underline key words to find out what it asked for. Then look into the passage for answer. It?ll be either true or false, if u cant find the ans there , common sense will tell u that?s it obviously not there . If u cant find an answer , skip n come back at the end of it . Don?t assume all qns are as diffcult as the one you just skipped , I figured I made a wild guess on 3 qns 1 min before the ending.

Writing : ( I wouldn?t go into details)

1) Write a Letter-150 words

2) I was given a question to debate and argue my case ; 250 words
My advice : Split it into 4 Paragraphs
? Agree with the question
? Pose a problem that will result as followed
? Come out with own solution
? Conclusion

Speaking
No right or wrong answer s, examiners wants to test your fluency and grammer on simple everyday topics . eg.she ask me if I think friends are important . Be prepared to be ask why , give yrself 10sec to think of what to say before opening yr mouth . DO NOT open with : Ah?Eh? ; try : Yes of cos because ??????

Then again , all of the above is base on my personal experience and it varies from P to P . So im just sharing am I am no expert. Just to let everyone know , I need band 7 in all 4 sections . I reckon I can make it band 7 on all section.(keeping fingers X), if not i will be taking the test again . :(

P.S Does anyone know if CELPIP is easier than Ielts ? Kindly advise

have a Good luck on the coming result.

The listening part of IELTS has become relatively Difficult to grasp as it was not a few years ago. I still think everyone has his/her own way to answer the listening part.

On the READING part, there always given a story of some kinda process or structure. one or few words unknown there make problem.

Writing is a piece of cake for me !!!

Speaking, Same as Above :).

Do let us know your score, OK?

The way u have explained the test for all of us in the forum clearly demonstrates ur command on the language.

I am pretty sure ur overall band score will be 7.5.

Thanks anyway.

dude what did you mean by

"Or you may sworn yrself like the buzz of flies tt swam around yr face".

does not make sense at all.. did you literally translate from your curry language without taking in account any english grammer or use rules?
