Subject: obtain a visa with a child birth |
Hello,
my due date is october. At the moment I have a visa for one year. Do I obtain a permanent visa automatic with my child born in Canada?

(in reply to: obtain a visa with a child birth) Contrary to misconception, the monther does not get a PR at child birth. You will still have to apply for a PR.
The child does get to be the citizen - if allowed by laws of the country (there are several countries - especially in Europe that mandate that at least one of the parent is a citizen).
What kind of visa do you have? When does it expire?

(in reply to: obtain a visa with a child birth) Then you´re in for a shock when it comes to expenses for giving birth, as you´re not covered under Medicare...!
