Subject: Should I send updated information??
I applied to Buffalo from USA as a Skilled Worker with my common-law partner also included in my application. My CL-Partner will soon be quitting his job to go to school full time to finish his degree. Is this something that I must send CIC information about? In my application I have only listed the number of years of work experience that he´s already had, not what he would have if he didn´t quit his job.

Also, will it slow processing if we decide to get married before processing is complete?

Thanks for your help!

1. Information ASOF the date of filing must be included. If he has not quit job as of the date of filing, there is no reason to include that. When he quits and begin school - send in a letter (with proof of quiting and school join) to CIC.

2. No it does not slow the process - as a matter it helps convince an officer, since it shows that you and your partner are genuinely in a relationship. I would say it takes same time. However, when things change, inform CIC of that.
