| Subject: URGENT Additional Medicals Requested |

I did my medical exams on Apr 20th. Today I have received in brown envolope that contained a letter and another small sealed brown envelope.
The letter tells me to go to the physician with sealed env. I will be going to him sooner.
I had old cured history of TB.
Can anyone tell what additional exams would have been asked?
Just the XRAY or Sputum too?
How long the doctor would take to send the results to Ottawa?
Does Ottawa take again 2 months to process these addional results?

You will be fine. It is not a problem, as long as Your TB is inactive. Who sent you the letter, Ottawa or CIC?

Man stop freakin out and freakin everybody else. Yout tests are for only confirmation that the TB is in dormant state. It is just a routine thing. nothing to worry about. It just will delay normal processing.

Thanks Sharon, I am really worried. During my first medicals, I have shown the dmp of old cured reports. Hope I can get to see the dmp tomorrow and listen to him of contents in sealed envelop.
If they just asked xray, I am happy. If they asked for Sputum test to culture for several weeks, worried. My Visa in US is expiring sooner, I will not get extension as completing the max time to be in US.

of course you are worried. not only is it immigration... it is your health we are discussing.
I encourage you to ask the doctors any questions you have. He might not be able to tell you what CIC will do with the results but I am sure if the tests prove negative - all will be well. it is unfortunate you are facing this medical uncertainty along with concerns about your visa.
Tell them that part too. maybe the doctor can make extra efforts to get the results dealt with quickly.
If you do not ask - you will not get.

Nice, empathic responses, Sharon, which is what we need more on this forum. Those writers of the other insensitive responses will have their applications at CIC immediately electronically deleted. Only nice people should be allowed into Canada.
