Subject: background check or Medical, which comes first ?
I´m really confused, what usually comes first in order, checking your background first then requesting Medicals, or is it the other way around ?

Thanks

we applied in oct 2003 (AOR- nov 2003)
We had our medicals done in Sept 2004, but our background checking was completed at the beginning of 2006, landed in April 2006.

Hell,

That means you had to redo your medicals again ?

No, we were not asked to redo the medicals even thought we got PPR in 6 months after their expiration date, both were M01. All this time we were in Canada on work/study visas, covered with some medical insuarances-might be the reason for not asking to do it for the second time.

In some cases immigration officer can valided medical one more year after it expierd.to get more information about it
go to cic web page look for publication and manual then look for policy and pogram manual, then go to ovreseas processing then go to op15 (medical proceduers) then you go to page six articale no 6.1 wich say " in certain cases medical validity can be extended. This may be done in consultation with the regional medical officer"

nothing to do with your medical insurence.
