Subject: POLICE CLEARENCE
  HELLO all,
I have recieved my IA recently. I applied in Buffalo in March in the skilled worker category. I am currently in Canada, my interview has been waived and I have been asked for police clearence from India. I have been given 90 days to submit my police clearence certificates. Accodridingly, I have sent my documents to Toronto Indian consualte and have a few questions for experts in this panel:
a) does the Indian consulate provide police clearence certificates in the 6 weeks period that they have mentioned on the application? has anyone experienced delays? Please share your experience.
b) can i request CIC for additional time in case for any reason Indian consulate delays the processing of police clearence certificates? will they oblige?

I thank you all for all the feedback i recieved earlier.
Please take the time to reply.

Anxious

Hi

Generally you would get the indian PCC in 4 weeks. Also 90 days period is 12 weeks so u have enough time to submit PCC. Dont Worry.

You can always ask a resonable amount of time provided your explanation is clear and strong. Do make sure you send a certified mail only - as proof of dispatch for your records.
