Has anybody had interview in Detroit, Please Share your experience, Mine is in September
They only asked for current and previous employment letters

We had and I had the similar reasons (employment issue).
We found the interviewer was very nice, very specific, and very considered. It took ours max 20 min to complete the interview process. I was not only asked about my past employments very very specifically, but also the current one. I made sure my job responsibilities followed almost exactly similar to the job description listed under NOC.
I took all the original papers (employment, education, marriage certificates, passports, and even the interview request letter) and gave those to the front window. Surprisingly the interviewer reviewed all carefully.

Another question for you, what exactly did you submitted from your previous employer
I just had a reference letter from previous employer because that employer is not in canada

Home country employment: I gave them only the reference letter. I also took my previous identity card to add value in the paper work.
1st Overseas employment: I took reference letter, bank statement of salary deposit, and income tax papers.
USA employment: I had two part-time jobs, where I asked my employer to write very specifically my job descriptions. I also had took tax papers (USA) along with me, in case of necessities.
Surprisingly, interviewer focused lot on my USA part time jobs (I guess one of the reasons were .. those two jobs were related to my academic major).
