I got an offer from cgi based out of montreal.I have 12 yrs of i.t experience and 7 years of business analyst experience .What would be an ideal base salary?

Hi CGI is great company to work for. My friend used to work with them in their Andover office in Mass. They have good benefits but not great salaries. If I were you anything around $80 would have been fine with me.

Sorry, but in Montreal $80,000 is too much. Remember that the cost of living here is lower. Take a look at places like monster.ca and see what the competition is offering - I´d go at MOST $70,000. The average salary for a Quebecois is $30,000 - hard to believe, but true (I guess they include all the people here on unemployment insurance - are there are a lot of them, and lots of students and part time workers).
