Subject: interview: time?
  Hi all
when you receive the invitation-letter for an interview, what is the timeline for attending the interview? 4 weeks? 6 weeks?
My background: I have applied for SW in Berlin in Sept last year. Now I would like to plan my holidays (in september) but ? in the case- that I would get an invitation letter in the next weeks and the interview would take at the same time I booked my flight and hotel, I would really have a problem then... To avoid it I would like to know the time left that you have between the receipt of the invitation and the date of invitation.
Thank you very much for your responses
Bye
Lucy

Thank you for the prompt reply.
Are you really sure about the 3 months? I was reading somewhere about 1 month but I am not sure any more...
Is there anyone who can tell me about his/her experience?
Thank you so much...
lucy

Hi lucky,
I have also applied as a skilld worker from Belin in December last year and got my aor in jan. 2006. From the experience of my friends, i am sure that there is gap of 3 months b/t ur planned interview and invitation letter. I hope, this helps u. By the way can I ask u where r u from Germany.

Hi
Thank you for your replies, guys.
I live in Ruhrgebiet. Where are you from Germany, Iqbal? Did you hear anything else from the embassy in Berlin? I got my AOR in Sept last year, since that nothing else happened...now we are waiting and waiting. I have heard that the processing time in Berlin is now longer because of the working visas they try to process at first. What about your application, ThinkPad, are you ready to go to Canada?
However, I can plan my holidays and book everything. Thank you very much for the good news. I hope I can rely on them.:-)

I live in Bochum , also in Ruhrgebiet and also not far from K?ln.I have taken IELTS TEST,even though the embassy still did not ask for that. The current processing time in Berlin is 13-18 months. This means that one should hear about the Initial Assesment after 9-10 months.Lucy i am sure that u will hear from embassy next month, if interview is sheduled and then ur interview will be around Oct.Any new information abt Berlin please Inform me Lucy . My e-mail is

Thanks
