Subject: Can Proof of Funds be waived if.... |

I´ve asked this before but I didn´t get any reply. I´ll try this again just in case someone who is knowledgeable about this may be able to help me. The question is:
If I have a job offer in Canada & I bring the employment documents during my entry to Canada, can my proof of funds be waived by the immigration officer?
Your assistance will be highly appreciated.

(in reply to: Can Proof of Funds be waived if....) I dont think it can be waived.
I strong suggest not to give CIC any obvious thing to reject the application.

(in reply to: Can Proof of Funds be waived if....) Hi 3D,
In order for the proof of funds to be waived you need:
An Arranged Employment Opinion (AEO) from HRSDC about your job offer.
or to be already working in Canada (on Work Permit of course).
I may be missing something but I thing this 2 are the main ones.
I am under a NAFTA WP, sent our app 2 months ago, with no proof of funds, today I got a call from the embassy asking how much I had in savings, she said there was no requirement for the proof of funds, but she wanted to have a number ($$$), she also said that we´ll be getting our forms for medicals in 2 months, pretty darn fast, I would say.
Good luck.

(in reply to: Can Proof of Funds be waived if....) yes funds can be waived if you have HRSDC.
