Subject: Got my passport stamped today after 2.5 years!
  Hi all,

I got my passport stamped today after 2.5 years. Here is the time line:

Apr 2004, Applied
Dec 2004, IA with no interview
Feb 2004, All documents, medicals done
June 2006, passport request

I have received both information and support from this forum. Good luck to all! I will continue to check back to help out new people if I can.

-Joe

Congratulations, Joe. Are you from the USA? Did they give you an extension considering the long period between medicals done and PPR? Do you know why the long wait between medicals done and PPR? Best of luck. When and where are you landing?

Yes. I am from USA. They didn´t care that my medical actually expired 6 months ago and simply send me passport request. I think my background check took a long time.

Intend to land late Aug.

Hey Joe, Congratulation! It´s good to hear your case is finalized also. Like I once said: Tough time don´t last, tough guys do! I got my PR visa in May and am planning to land in Aug too.

Hi Joe,

Congrats. Did they mention in the letter that sent you for PPR that your passport must be valid for at least one year?
