Hi, Can anyone suggest, after how much time I can sponsor my parents to Canada after I get PR? After how much time they can visit on visitor visa? Normally how long they can stay in Canada on visitor visa?

You have to meet the income requirement for the last 12 months before you apply. Therefore, you will have to wait at least on year.
There is time limit for when you can try for a visitor´s visa for your parents. Visitors to Canada can say at most 6months. The immigration office at the port of entry may limit the lenght of stay.

Depending were your parents are from and your situation in Canada already I suggest get them to Canada and submit an H&C application Inland based on family reunification. As well IP5 section 6.7 based on all the sections mentioned on that web site especially IRPA 3 (1) (f) and 3 (3) (d)

did anyone read the Vancouver Sun article today that talks about how many Canadians are living overseas wanting to retire in Canada? I suspect there are some huge alarm bells going off about where Canada is going to find the money to look after aging Canadians who have not paid into the tax system, but are ´technical´ citizens. Add this to a pool of sponsored parents, plus those who currently reside in Canada and we have a pension/health care crisis beyond our wildest imagination.
I agree CIC should be upfront about waits, but they are going to have to resolve this care and pay issue very quickly. Maybe that is why the stall tactics.
