After my meds i received a call from CIC. That they need info fast or it may delay my process.
I was asked to produce a proof of activity from 1991 to ´94. I explained I was studying, so they request a letter from the institution. The institution came up with a letter that they could only confirm till ´93, but are not denying till ´94, just that they couldn´t find other records in their archive giving excuses that they have relocated and it´s long ago! Well I wrote a cover letter with the letter from the institution. But still i´m kinda nervous about it. what do you think? Any opinion?

Processing is faster here. CIC promise in less than a year for people applying in 2005 and after.
Here´s my timeline:
submitted docs 30 dec 2005
IA 30 jan 2006
interview 15 june 2006
medicals 16 june 2006
request for add.docs. 26 june 2006 (call me by cell phone!)
additional docs sent 03 july 2006

is there anything you can think of that would validate that you were attending the institution? record of marks, anything... to fill in that one year hole.

It does not matter what we think. It is what cic thinks. But I doubt this is a large issue. They maybe just trying to varify claims of your educational background.

in my old passport there´s a stamp of registration from the university that covers that one year gap.

from which immigration office you apply (in reply to: SHARON & other forum veterans: I Need Opinion)
Moscow, Russia.
As I wrote, it´s a less than 1 year process if things are ok. I came to Russia at 18yrs and have been here for 16yrs. SO there´s not much for the security and background check.
