Subject: PR card administrivia
Sorry for the trivial question, but not wanting to miss anything. At landing when providing address where to send PR card, does Canadian immigration take photos of you for the card then? Or must you bring your own photos? (It is a picture ID card, is it not?)

Thanks all.

it is a picture ID. They will ask for your passport and photos before issuing the visa. Those photos will be on the confirmation of permanent resident papers and will be used for PR card. The officer at the border does not take pictures.

You will send four photos (similar to immigration ones)along with your passport when you receive PPR. It is these photos that will be used for your Permanent Resident card, Richard.

Thanks, Bob. Looks like CIC is good at making sure everything´s up-to-date and covered in advance.
