my background check has lasted for more than 19 months and i am still waiting. i bet i had the longest background check time in this forum.

Well me too it is so far 19 months and still waiting.
I applied on April 2004, got my IA and medical forms on january 2005(dated Nov2004). My file has not been transferd to detroit for interview yet because they are waiting for BK check.
So lets hope this will end soon.
can you please share your time line.

I started from Apr 04 and my background check took until June 06 to complete and I got PPR in June. So just wait and let it take its course.
