Subject: Canadian New simplified Application
  Hi,

I am planning to apply on 6th August for Canadian Immigration. I have collected all the documents except police certificate from FBI, USA and IELTS. I have applied for one but it will take around 8-10 months. Will CIC accept my application without the police certificate and IELTS score? Please let me know. I didn´t appaer for IELTS coz it would be expired before the assessment of my application. I was thinking of submitting scores after a year or two. Will they accept it? Plus I am in a dilemma regarding the new simplified application and regular application. Which one is a better option? I just want to apply and get in a line coz I have to leave for UK in the 1st week of Sep formy PhD. Advice pls!

well, from what i have read from the CIC site, you don´t need ANY documentation EXCEPT the proof of funds. And you have to pay the application fee. That´s all you need to do, so, go ahead and send in your simplified application along with your proof of funds and the bank draft with your application fee paid. When they need your police report, your IELTS and other documentation, they will send you a letter or email informing you that you need to send whatever specific documents they need to process your application.

Validity of any document, including IELTS, is determined on the day when the application is received, not when it is assessed. They may ask for additional verification of funds or criminal record laer on, but NOT IELTS or any other docs. Get the IETLS done, or you will risk delaying the application by many many months: they ask for IELTS and put your app on hold, and then they will come back to it when they have less apps to do.

Should I go for simplified option or the regular one? I have heard that they DO ask for new IELTS score at the assessment time! if I ´ll apply by the regular process!

SIMPLIFIED or REGULAR?
Please help else I´ll shoot myself:)
