What´s the difference between native language and first language? Is it possible to not know/ speak what is supposed to be your native language? Does that then mean that its not your native language?

Your native language IS your first language. You might not be able to speak it if, for example, you´re deaf (can´t pick it up from parents) or have mental impairments.

okey dokes. So I take it that your native country (from which you hold your passport) and its native language do not have to coincide, on an individual basis? Ie, You may have a passport from Spain/ parents are Spanish etc, but your native language may not be the native language of Spain?

passport has nothing to do with your native country...your native country is where you grew up as someone with a passport from country A may have never been there but they lived in country B their whole life so country B is the native country
