my application is very likely to be asseseded starting april 04. Currently its in process and is awaiting assessment. My question is, can you please give me a guestimate as to how long does assessment takes (begining of assessment to landing in Canada) for:
1. if they don´t require an interview from me
2. if they do require an interview from me
I highly appriciate your help, you are doing a great service
thanks alot

Processing times (in reply to: my application is very likely to be assesed)
Unfortunately, the answer to your question is very difficult to determine without knowing the person who is asking the question, their family members, the consulate through which they have applied, and the quality of application. That said, it is reasonable to expect that the visa office can process your application in 18 to 36 months (less if the applicant has Arranged Employment in Canada), provided the application is complete at the time of submission.

However, processing times for individual cases can vary significantly, making the visa office´s expected processing time somewhat irrelevant. This is because every application stands on its own, and is determined by a multitude of controllable and uncontrollable variables (e.g. missing documentation and war, respectively).

Sincerely,

Dennis Caul
