| Subject: Sponsor my wife's Brother |
Guys Can I sponsor my wife´s brother: he is 16 years of age. My wife and I have PR in Canada. Is it a must to be orphan for me to sponsor him ..beacuse my wife´s parents are still alive and they do not have PR in Canada.

Your wife can sponsor her parents and add her brother as a dependent. The process will take 4-5 yrs to complete, but currently that´s your only option.

You can bring your brother in law to Canada and then provide schooling(unfortunately you will pay for international student fee) for him and then get him to do his own PR. At least that´s what my friend do for his sister.
