could anyone tell me what do I need to do to have my father to come to canada to visit me?
I am a landed PR resident.

Requirements for a tourist are genereally listed in the canadian Embassy web site of each country... Better visit the web page of the Canadian Embassy in your country...
I guess he needs a passport for himself, and an invitation letter that you send to the embassy (via your father) telling that you are inviting your father to visit you in Canada ( for a period of time) and you will take care of his expenses during his stay, if you are working then sending a copy of your bank /wages would help him enter Canada easily,

What you need to show is a reason for your father to return to his home country. You should also not make the normal invitation imply that you will be taking him to an unsusual place other then Niagara Falls.
