hello friends ,
recd my passport request today from the ny consulate. i had applied in 2001 from buffallo in the skilled worker category and file was transferred to NY consulate. I hv bn living in NY since 2000,Indian Nationality .
Here is a summary of time line.
1.File submitted ; Nov ´2001
2.File # Recd on : Jan 2003
3.Interview Reqd letter: December´03
4.Questions from CIC : Jan 17´03
5.Confirmation abt File transfer to NY : Jul´03
6.Addtl Info required by NY Consulate :Sept´03
7.Addtl Info Submittedto NY Consulate:Oct´03
8.IELTS Request from NY Consulate: Jan ´04
9.IELTS Update Request from NY Consulate: March´04
10.IELTS Submitted : April´2004
11.Inteview Date recd on :May 1st
12.Interview on:June 1st
13.DMP from NY submitted Meds to Ottowa :Mid June.
14.Recd a letter from the consulate asking fr ROLF and FBI: Sept 22.
15. Submitted the same personally in NY Consulate ie FBI and ROLF:Sept 29th
16.October 15th E-client changed to "Medicals RECD"
17.Recd PP Request on 11/10 ,letter was dated 11/04.
BTW E-CLIENT STILL SAYS FILE "IN PROGRESS" [}:)]@!#$%^@!)!
I am going to the NY consulate to get the pp stamped.In the letter that was sent it is mentioned that passports can be dropped off every monday 8:30 -10:30am and picked up same day 1:30 to 3.00 pm.
I hv to take 4 photos and id .A[:D]LSO THEY HV ASKED FOR "A COPY OF THE SIGNED PERMANET RESIDENT VISA AUTHORISATION FORM " What is this ?? any idea !! [8)]

Congratulations. but it seems like it took quite a long time ... i mean no lesser then usa greencard... it makes me wonder if this canada pr is really that worth waiting...... I feel worried for my case which i filed 1 year before.
