Subject: Received PPR today from NYC office!
Well, I guess that´s my turn to say the magic words. Received the PPR today from NYC office! The timeline was as follows:

Applied - December 8, 2004 (Buffalo)
File created - March 11, 2005
IELTS requested - July 2005
IELTS passed (7.5) - September 2005
File transfered to NYC - January 11, 2006
Medicals & f-rprints requested (interview waived) - January 22, 2006
Medicals done - March 3, 2006
Fingerprints done & mailed - April 4, 2006
Medicals finally mailed - June 4, 2006 (don?t ask why such delay - the doctor was an idiot, unable to place ALL papers in one envelope)
PPR received - August 12, 2006

BTW, ecas still shows "In process".

Good luck to everybody.

Gregory

congratulations! Greakly.
I am in the same timeline as I also did my medicals in March.

By the way, did your ECAS change today? Did it show medical results have been received?

Congratulations, Greakly.
ZA, did you get any news from NY visa office?
For me, I didnt. Nor did ECAS change to medical results received.

Yes, the ecas changed today. While the general title is still "in process", "medicals received" appeared next to the rest of the text.

Yes, you can. However, you would have to go to the consulate twice. They only accept immigrant visa applications once a week (Thursday 8:30 - 10 AM). The visa should be ready for pickup the following Thursday 1:30 - 3 PM. Unless you live in NYC (that´s where the consulate which handles my case is located) such double trip could be quite a hassle. You can, however, authorize someone in NYC (a family member, a friend, etc.) to do that for you. That´s what I plan to do.
