Guys,
Request clarity on the following points:
1.How many points does a Bachelor of Engineering from India(4 years course)after class 12 earn(total education 16 years)? 20 or 22.
2.Also, my niece married a canadian citizen but both of them live in the US and our completing their education.My niece has not lived in Canada after marriage except for occasional visits.Does that accrue any points under relative score?
3.If one does not take ILTES and submits written explanation,does a recent copy of a high TOEFL score help?
Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

You will get 20 points.

As long as your niece is not living in Canada you will not get the 5 points. But I strongly suggest that you mention her in your application. If in future she comes back to Canada you will get the 5 points. You will have to submit copy of her birth certificate to show proof of relation with you as well as copy of her PR card.

I strongly recommend that you appear in IELTS. It is the only sure shot way to get the max points in English. TOEFL is not acceptable but you can send the report anyway. If you scored well in TOEFL you will do well in IELTS.
