april 24 - started processing
june - interview scheduled
august 1- passed the interview, and was informed they need some more background checking
august 2 - present - still waiting

yes, the IO after the short interview(lasted not more than 5 mins)....told me he is approving the application but they still needs to do the background check ..so it would take some more months of waiting .

lookslike it will take forever for us at Abu Dhabi.
They are very slow compared to other offices.

No .. File was transferred to abu dabi , but nothing so far . not even a file number .. it is so frustrating..
