Ok.... the inevitable happened, now what ?

Subject: Ok.... the inevitable happened, now what ?
As I had feared my application came back (with the fees) and they had a cover sheet with 2 pages showing where the rejection was made.
My first question is - do I fill in data in the same form and send them back OR fill new form ?
Also they have marked IMM0008 Schedule as incomplete, and under that have marked the check box for "blanks or None" that were not typed on the form. But there is no mark on the sub-section (under IMM0008) which has bullets for things like
- immigration status
- signed declaration that the form is complete etc.
Does that mean those docs are satisfactory ?
And that means I only need to worry abt the NONE or -N/A- part and they just expect that to be filled right ?

Thanks for your help

Sorry to hear that.

btw, I am waiting to get my application back myself (and for the second time). This time for sending typed English Proficiency letters. I just hope they don´t sit on it for too long before returning it.

Anyways, as for the questions you asked.
No, you dont need to include the two pages (they sent you) in your fresh application . Basically they don´t have any record of your application..so you should reapply as if you were applying for the first time.

As for the IM0008 form, I did not see any place for signature. Where do they expect us to sign the form, I don´t know...

The Canadian Consulate has some arrogance to return the application when they themselves don´t provide clear requirements.... for example they don´t clearly specify that certain docs be "hand-written" etc. etc..and also where to sign on IM0008...

oh well...we people from lesser countries just have to abide by their orders I guess..........

my thoughts (in reply to: Ok.... the inevitable happened, now what ?)
go through every CIC document you have and check it against the instructions that originally come with the forms. It will not take you long- just read it carefully and do exactly what they ask. If they have not asked you specifically for new forms I am guessing that they just want you to complete the ones they have sent.

btw, I have a feeling that the consulate does not tell you at once all the deficiencies in your application.

I guess as soon as they see the first thing missing , they promptly put the application back into the return envelope with their comments.

So you may want to make sure your application is 100% complete beyond what they have additionally asked for.

Clarification Again (in reply to: Ok.... the inevitable happened, now what ?)
Thanks for your responses friends, but I´m still confused as one said re-apply as if its the first time and the other said just fill the spots on the original forms and send back. To re-phrase my question again, what I wanted to ask was if its ok to fill the original form that I had filled initially (which has been returned with red marks on it) with the corrections OR I have to start filling an entirely new form. They have not mentioned anything about it. I thought some of us might have gone thru´ the experience before, so plz, enlighten me !!
Thanks,
Zulu.

better safe than sorry... the forms are free on the internet. download them, fill them in exactly as you should, then fill in the forms they have returned and send both sets! That way you are right either way.

Hand-written English Proficiency (in reply to: Ok.... the inevitable happened, now what ?)
Hey Kanadaa...
Question for you...Where does it say about hand-writing the language proficiency statement? Or doesn´t it say anything?

^That´s the thing I have been myself complaining about. It does not say anywhere that the English Proficiency letter should be hand-written ("written" yes but not "hand-written").

However I have come across quite a few posts in this and other forums where people have said that their application was returned because they sent a typed letter.

For example , read the 3rd post in the following thread :

Zulu,
I´m really sorry for you but to be honest with u CIC instructions are very clear and straightforward just we have to read their instructions 10 times at least before submitting our applications this is exactly what I did. I heared applications that were returned after 3 months only for ot typing N/A:(:(:(:(: and it was clearly mentioned that u have 2 wirte N/A if not applicable question for u/.
BTW when exactly did u submit ur application? ofcourse they didn´t send u AOR letter as long they returned it?
My advice read instructions again and again and don´t rush at all putting in your mind that passmark is due to rise then rush then mistakes again.

God bless u my dear friend,

Police clearance (fingerprint) (in reply to: Ok.... the inevitable happened, now what ?)
Hello all,

I have received the initial assessment letter.
They asked me to do the medical and pay the RPRF, but they did not ask me to do the fingerprint (police clearance). I am assuming that they will ask me later, which will make my application process longer. I was wondering if I send the police clearance(fingerprint) now, eventhough they did not ask me to, would that be wrong?

Please advice
