Subject: TO ALL POTENTIAL MARRIAGE COUPLES
I have written many times about couples who just want to beat the system and can´t stand being apart. I have written numerous times that it is far faster to submit a spousal application outside of Canada instead of an Inland Application.

I saw a very VERY sad couple today at Terminal Three that tore my heart apart.

When a person arrives at any POE and say they are a visitor they are asked basic questions like who you are going to visit, where you´re going to stay, when do you plan to depart, etc. etc.

A VISITOR IS A PERSON SEEKING ADMISSION FOR A TEMPORARY PERIOD OF TIME!!!

The pretty lady told CBSA/Immigration she was coming to visit her fiance and they are planning to submit an Inland Spousal Application for PR when they get married next week.

The officer said "OH REALLY" and issued her an exclusion order and directed her back to the country she came from. In the reception area where I was with my client they have a glass type partition with a slot to hand papers back and forth and they were touching fingers and crying. He was every so often saying things that no one should write here.

He had bought her ticket to Canada and now will need to buy himself a ticket to her country to say the four most scariest words known to any man. Will you marry me? Then he will have to pay an additional $400.00 and seek consent of the Minister to return within the year or wait....
Now she has misrepresented herself so will they believe her application next time?????

Sharon is almost 100% right regarding doing spousal sponsorships yourself. Please understand that men are from Mars and women are from Venus and sometimes we say the most STUPID things when in love. Stupid comments can sink your future plans or we have a piece of paper why do we have to prove we love each other?

All Authorized Consultants are not allowed to post testimonials on their web sites or adverts. Therefore I can not do that but Sharon will tell you probably that I got blasted for saying I would let potential clients speak to former clients. Understan I´m trying to help here because of some people posting Bad Advice ONLY.

No Lawyer has to take any Immigration Law subjects while in Law School and most Legal Counsel learn by their mistakes or their staff´s mistakes who normally do the work unsupervised.

WHAT EVER YOU DO RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH THEN LET SOMEONE ELSE READ YOUR REASON WHY YOUR RELATIONSHIP IS GENUINE. If you so decide to hire a person who is authorized check him/her out and ask what their experience is in tha particular area you have the problem.

IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD IT PROBALY IS.

REMEBER ONE THING THAT THE IMMIGRATION OFFICER ASSESSING YOUR MARRAIGE APPLICATION IS PROBABLY MARRIED AND HE/SHE WILL NOT BELIEVE YOUR PARTNER WALKS ON WATER.

Roy who did not sleep all last night and WHO is going to bed. RESEARCH PEOPLE AND GOOD LUCK!!!

thanks for the good words of advice. We sometimes forget that we are mixing emotions and law when it comes to family class immigration.

I found Roy online in the middle of the night yesterday. How do I know? I was awake all night too. LOL. Such a sad state of reality :)

Here is a story written by a friend of mine which is published in a Toronto Paper Today who just happens to be a Lawyer & former Immigration Officer who worked at Pearson Intl. Airport while going to Law school. The Laws that apply to him (a Lawyer) also apply to me because I´m authorized to give advice. What advice I give can hurt me so I´m careful and you all must understand when someone asks the best way to do something.

There are always two sides to all stories and some times clients lie too.

Be careful of those who offer you a guarantee
No honest lawyer makes such claims

On more than a few occasions in my twenty years of practice, prospective clients have declined to use my services because I wouldn?t ?guarantee? the outcome of their immigration application.

They claimed that for a few dollars more, they could be ?guaranteed? the desired result by some unnamed immigration official or adviser.

In such circumstances, it?s hard to distinguish between bluster and a genuine criminal enterprise.

However, what is clear is that such corruption does exist.

In June, Yves Bourbonnais, a former member of the Immigration and Refugee Board, was sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to 30 counts of conspiracy and obstructing justice.

He and his accomplices solicited bribes to ensure the success of immigration appeals ? for cash payments of up to $15,000.

Last week, Michael O?- Keefe, a senior official at the U.S. consulate in Toronto was indicted for allegedly accepting bribes in connection with U.S. visa applications. The payoff is reported to have included exotic dancers, trips to Las Vegas, jewelry, etc. He and an alleged beneficiary of this scheme, face up to 15 years in jail.

While crooked immigration officials and advisors may offer socalled ?guarantees,? honest immigration lawyers can?t.

The Rules of Professional Conduct of Ontario?s Law Society of Upper Canada state that ?a lawyer should be wary of bold and confident assurances to the client, especially when the lawyer?s employment may depend upon advising in a particular way.?

A lawyer or consultant who purports to guarantee the successful outcome of an immigration application or hearing may be just as dishonest as an immigration official on the take. Even in a straightforward case, an application can be refused for a wide variety of reasons beyond the control of the attending lawyer or consultant.

For example, an applicant who is healthy and crime-free at the time that the guarantee is made can later take ill or be charged with a crime. A relationship that initially seems genuine can experience a breakdown. Documents intended to support an application can prove to be false or unverifiable. The most promising application can be doomed if the government, again, introduces retroactive legislation.

Furthermore, lawyers can?t control which visa officer will review an application or which judge will hear an appeal. Key witnesses who are expected to strengthen a case can become unavailable or end up providing damaging testimony.

Accordingly, it?s always best to be wary of those who offer ?guarantees? over matters they can?t control.

Guys!

Please do not rely too much on a very fast process of bringing your spouse from abroad. My husband applied from abroad and we have now been waiting for more than a year for these people in Kyiv, Ukraine to process our papers.
I have already written to the Minister of Immigration, the Canada Immigration complaints office, my local MP- all is in vain. They do not care about your relationship, they do not give a shit about anything, they just sit there doing nothing!!! My husband is furious, because this is not a family life! I do not know how to call it. And the most important thing is that Canada Immigration does not care! We are completely unprotected!!!
