Subject: Arranged marriage!
  Hi there,

Recently I seperated with a women who was charged with asault after an altercation with her.

SHe called police who on arrival noticed the assault being done to me. I tried to convince them not to laycharges however they had no choice.

SHe was offered a slap on the wrist, discharge apon taking a course in anger management. SHe declined, vowing to get me back, and try and have the charges dropped and brought onto me.

Just a few questions, if she is found guilty will the deport her? She is a permanent resident her in canada.

Also the police asked me a few questions about her immigration which i declined to answer, however she is here on what I would cal false pretenses!!! She married her cousin to gain admission to Canada, he was already with another women.

If the court was to find this out whould they investigate through immigration?

WHat kind of trouble can her and her family get into for arranging this marriage to gain her admission to Canada.

Thanks for your time

Just my opinion.

If the cousin was already married at that time, then the second marriage would be considered null and void, since Canada does not allow for polygamous marriage. If this is the case, then the grounds for her immigration would also have been invalid, at the time of her immigration application. Hence, her immigration status may be revoked

This is not easy as you put it.

Immigration is a federal matter and the incedent you describe is a civil matter. Usually both rarely want to work together. You´d have to tread very carefully before you make any charges. If you are proven to know about these charges and not done anything; you yourself can be implicated on federal charges (if not civil) for complying with false pretense.

In my view - if you have some funds and are really serious pursue the matter with an attorney; else just let it go.
