Subject: what happens afterwards? |

i was just curious as to what everyone´s plans are once they land and how they´ve prepared beforehand. what is your current profession? are you looking to change fields? what type of research did you do beforehand in your field? have you applied for/completed credential recognition? are you open minded to changing fields?
i can only speak for my field but the research i´ve done produced mixed results. can we really trust what "research" we do on the internet as far as our career fields and availability of jobs go? if you go to sites like jobfutures.ca and others like it you continue to see misleading information claiming that engineering will have "GOOD" job prospects through 2007 when clearly this is not the case as we´ve seen. i´ve also talked to people in my field when i visited canada and they´ve told me something different as well. hmm..makes you wonder....
