Subject: If Visa doesn't come and the Medical exam expires
My application was submitted on March 2002 and this year, at the end of April 2004 I got a letter from the consulate office requesting some of the documents from me. I complied to those request.

Along with those documents, we were required to submit the Medical Examination results for me, my wife and my son.We had our Medical Examination done on 26th of June 2004. The doctor (Doctor Luckas Conandreas, Immediate Medical Care, 660 Bedford Street, Stamford, CT, 06901) had confirmed that he had already sent the medical exam results to the related immigration agency.

There was one issue which I need to mention here. My wife was pregnant (she still is, till that day) and so she couldn´t get her chest x-ray done. She would get it done as soon she delivers the baby, which is due sometime in January 2005.

Now my question is, would our application be totally put on hold unless my wife submit her chest X-ray? Would the consulate carry out the other processing tasks by this time and when my wife submits her chest X-ray sometime in January our cases could be finalized soon. Do you think a letter to cosulate requesting them to expedite the other tasks would help?

I have another question, when our new baby is born, I believe we have to include the baby in our application. Would it take again a long time to process? We had completed our Medical Examination on 26th of June 2004, so it would be valid only for one year, i.e., up to 26th June 2005. By that time I hope we would know the final status of our application. If not, what would be the process then. Do we have to get another medical exam done. If so, how would we get our medical examination documents from the consulate? Do we have to re-apply? I am totally confused regarding that matter. Given this scenario could any one please explain what should be my course of action?

Write all the details you explain here to CIC Canada at Buffalo; with your file no etc. and send it via FEDEX or UPS.

Medicals are good for 1 Yr from date you took these. Missing medicals of your wife can go in Jan/Feb 2005 and you will be OK.

The newborn will not need medicals; but will have to be added in the application.

If you are serious - better consult a paral-legal to help you with rest of the process as you are almost done. These are minor technicalities. CIC understands the situation with new born - I mean this is something to look forward to I´m sure CIC will not hold it against you.

But you must inform them of all this
