I have heard that the way the points are awarded is going to change? Also the minimum points is being raised. When do they plan that?

What was the deal about all the top immigration ministers meeting all about. I mean the press release is not saying anything they must already know.
Of course they had to meet to discuss more important issues as getting in the right people (e.g. not just in occupation and skill but not of militant links etc.)
If Canada does not wake up to see who are coming in it may be just like a mini-germany very soon

If you go on the web search and type in a search for canadian immigration minister meeting Quebec, you will discover all the news releases as well as transcripts.
I read them and found nothing about the point system. There was a great deal said about helping immigrants to have their work experience and credentials evaluated fairly and more quickly so that highly skilled foreign workers do not remain in dead end, low paying jobs when they arrive and have their credentials ignored. There was also discoussion on helping non English speaking immigrants with learning English, since the lack of that knowledge was the leading cause of non-employment or low enployment.
The Ministers meet annually. The next meeting is scheduled in
the spring, I think April.
