I have a valid US visa till April 2008. However, my passport expires November 2006. Can I travel to US and come back before the expiry date of the passport?
Please advice.

Check it on the US.embassy´s web site of your country. Your visa is still valid after your passport expired but you need a new passport.

Get a new ppt and attach it to the old one since you cannot travel on an expired ppt. But with a new one attached, you can use the visa in the old

I think you got me wrong guys. My passport is still valid till November 2006, and I am planning to enter US and exit it in October 2006. Will the "passport expiring soon" issure be problem when I enter US?

Yup... You need to have the passport valid for atleast 6 months....

wrong. The ppt only has to be valid for 6 months to apply for a visa and not the other way round. So long as your ppt has not expired you can travel till the last day. You are fine to travel and back.

Thanks for your replies guys. I checked the US embassy website but could not find anything related to my question. I am in a dilemma now. I am planning to go to US next Thursday. I did try to contact US embassy in Ottawa but it was in vain getting to talk to someone directly.
Any advice?

What else do you want after posting the answer to your question? If you don´t like it then please go get a lawyer and pay some fees for the same answers or go to the nearest US embassy and ask this. Don´t waste any more of our time and yours. You can travel period. So long as your passport is valid and visa has not expired. Good luck

If the pp is not expired, don´t worry about it. If you can´t stop worrying about it, renew your passport now. Simple.
