I mailed my application to buffalo for PR of canada(federal skilled worker category)in the last week of august.But have not received any reply yet.Can anybody share his limeline or suggest about the current timeline for AOR.

Last year I sent my application in May and got their AOR in August. Do not worry!

You should receive your AOR within 7 weeks after receipt of your app in Buffalo. You would then hear on the IA about 8 months later. My recommendation to you is when you approach the six month mark you should do your FBI fingerprint card so it will arrive right around the time the IA does. FBI current wait is about 8 weeks. The Clarksburg office just opened the Oct 8 receipt mail on Monday. Also, when you send your print card in, use a tracking #.

I sent in all my documents for PR category to buffalo office on Oct 27th. I had given them a cashiers check and my bank told me they cashed my cheque on Nov2, but still I havent gotten an AOR from them yet. So we are in the same boat I guess. I hope they send it soon. Now my question is when they send the AOR is it going to be in a huge packet or just a small letter in an envelope?

Thanks a lot for your advise.But, Is it possible to get directly the AI and not receive AOR at all?does that ever happened with anybody else also?

i sent my applications in September, and they returned them to me in Oct, because i was asked to fill all the blanks on the forms. and then i sent it back again right after i got it. and then i have bee waiting for the response, very disappointingly, i have not received anything yet. so i think there is only one thing to do, it is to wait patiently. good luck to everyone.
