Subject: permanent resident visa expiration |

I am a Canadian citizen living in the US. I applied for my husbands permanent residency for Canada. He obtained the visa and it is about the expire. I want to know if he can enter Canada on the expiration date? Or should he go a day before. The pamphlet provided states to enter before the expiration date.
We have alot of last minute things to do.

(in reply to: permanent resident visa expiration) I would not risk it... go the day before.

(in reply to: permanent resident visa expiration) You can definately land before 12:00 p.m. on the expiration date. As long as you nad in passport before it is the next day to the immigration officer at the post - you are OK by the law!
However, that is technical - practically why take that risk? Land a day before.
