Hey everybody here. I have one question. If a person has PR card of Canada is it problem for him to visit US. I herad that persno with US PR card can come to Canada without any problem. How about the person with Canadian PR card. Can I go and see my friends in US?

It depends from which country you are a national and how established you are in Canada as a PR. Anyone wishing to visit any country that they require a visitor visa to must show reason for the visit and reason that they will leave the country they plan to visit.

Getting a US visitor visa will not be easy unless you have travelled many places and always returned home.

This is so dependent on so many variables but its not likely you will get US visitor visa until your established as a PR of Canada.

Roy is correct. How you visit the U.S. or Canada is based on your passport, not what PR card you have. The U.S. requires visas from most countries unless from a "visa waiver program" country (mostly European Union). These countries are listed at:

I did a bit more research on this. You´re right, U.S. permanent residents with green card can (it appears) enter Canada without visa, regardless of passport origin. However, the reverse is not true for entering the U.S.

At the U.S. State Department link (noted earlier above), the following is stated:

Permanent residents (aka landed immigrants) of Canada must have a nonimmigrant visa unless the permanent resident is a national of a country that participates in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), meets the VWP requirements, and is seeking to enter the U.S. for 90 days or less under that program.

If you are a Canadian PR and have a decent job with no criminal background you should not have a problem obtaining a US visa in Canada for visit. You can apply for a 10 year visa.
