I had interview in New York Consulate on March 15, 2006. The immigration officer was a lady. She immigrated to Canada from East Africa so she was pretty understanding about my case.
At first she clarified me why I had come to the interview. The reason was the NOC code for the work experience I wrote was not matching with the letter my employer wrote in the work descriptions.
Then she asked me what kind of job I do and I explained my job fully to her so she found different NOC code for that job. Then she checked my Bachelors and Masters certificate. Then she asked me to show her my bank statement after showing all these documents she was convincing.
Then she started explaining about Canada. And the benifits that a landed immigrant gets after arriving in Canada. I choose Saskatchewan as my prefferd province. She told me that I can live anywhere in Canada though I choose Saskatchewan.
Usually after the interview the CIC mails medical information but in my case she was so nice that she told me to wait and she told the secretary to prepare my medical papers instantly. She handed over the medical papers to me and said that I have to pay the RPRF and send a current FBI fingerprint as the other one has expired.

Folks that´s all. Interview is very simple and easy as long as you know about your application and about your work.

Thanks guys.
