My question: Is US driving licence is valid in Canada (Ontoria) or not? And also, US diploma?

With an exception of couple of states, Canadaian ministry can access to all of US for your driving record. if you have US driver license for more than three years, you will get the "real" driver´s license right away.

Yes, my ex-wife got her G license in two minutes, shhe only presented her Texas driver license, no prob. And for the insurance, they count if you have 3 or more year of driving history in US.
