Canadain economy seems to be doing well because of high crude oil prices. Now, everyone seems to be forecasting lower oil prices. Do you guys think that it will have a major impact on canadian economy?

(in reply to: Downturn in 2007) I think lower crude oil prices will bring some much-needed balance to the economy. The strong dollar has not been good for import/trade.

(in reply to: Downturn in 2007) You´re right. The economy is so much better in the middle east. Everyone should move there instead ;)

(in reply to: Downturn in 2007) Canadian dollar is petrol currency, lower oil price like today 60.46 will be benefit for export like lumber export(B.C, Qubebec),.. auto industry (Ontario)..
Since Ontario is national engine, we can see Ontario´s deficit cut quite a lot next year.....
That´s just DB´s prediction.
