I am a US citizen and my boyfriend is Canadien, living and working in Ontario. Our intent is to marry by October 2007. I want to know if this will work.
Wedding in October 2007.
Submit PR outside spousal applications in November 2007.
Maintain US address (parents)
Go to visit him for 6 months and apply for extension if necessary.
Leave the country prior to "landing" and then land when status is approved.
My other option is to apply as a Skilled Worker. I will have my Masters degree in May 2007. I do not have 10k CAD to prove I can support myself but I would be living with my fiance. Do I need to have that 10k even if I´m living with him and he will be supporting me? We dont qualify as common law.
Please advise. Thank you.
