| Subject: No acknowledgement of receipt of application |

Hi, my husband (on Visitor Visa from UK) and I got married here in Canada in April. I applied to Sponsor him on his permanent resident visa, as my spouse mid -May/06.
I did not yet have our marriage certificate, but wrote in our application I said that I would send it as soon as I received it from the Registrar General.
Late June/06 I received the marriage certificate in the mail, but did not know how to/where to send it to, to add to our application, as we had not yet received an AOR. I called the help line, and they informed me that we should not expect to get anything from CIC until the First stage of approval. Which at this point we won´t see until the end of January 2007. No acknowledgement or receipt? is this normal? We will not have a client # until the IA?
My husband will need to apply to extend his visitor visa by the end of November/06 and this will be his 2nd extention, and they are looking for proof he applied for permanent residency. All we will be able to give them is the print out that Vegreville, signed that they received package from us byExpresspost. Any advice?

I had applied for immigration on 31-08-2010. I have not recieved any acknowledgement till date
