Subject: Any one has experience hiring a immigration lawyer
Hi,

Does anyone have any recommendation on hiring a good lawyer for appeal in Vancouver? Appeal for refusal of my parents immigration due to medical inadmissibility.

Thanks,

Take it from some one that might just know that proving medial inadmissability takes lots of money and lots of expert opinions.

Some counsels will promise anything if you have the funds.

I suggest file the appeal yourself (cost zero) understand the IAD rules regarding medical experts time restrictions but while your waiting the year to be heard have the parents have a seperate medical to ascertain how they really are with their own Doctor and his specialist.

Mom and Dad may appear strong as a horse but they could have a heart defect or something that is worse that needs to be taken care of now.

GET THEM CHECKED OUT BY THE BEST YOU CAN AFFORD. THEY COULD BE ILL OR IMMIGRATION DOCTORS MIGHT BE WRONG BUT THEY ARE YOUR PARENTS MAKE SURE THEY ARE HEALTHY.

Thank You (in reply to: Any one has experience hiring a immigration lawyer)
Dear Roy,

Thanks for your reply and worry about my parents health. You´re exactly right. I really should take care of my parents so that´s why I need to bring them here living with me. My dad is fine he´s under well control. CIC exaggerated all the negative sides of his sickness just to put him into ´excessive demand´ catagory.

Anyways, thanks for your comments.

If you look at the IP5 manual under best interest of the child you will see a federal court decision Baker vs MCI. Mavis Baker was approved stage one on her H&C application but because she was medically inadmissable she was never given Landed Immigrant status but allowed to remain.

That is an option as well.

There was a federal or supreme court decision about a year ago when a rich guy was denied due to his chils medical condition and the federal court turned that over because he had made plenty of arrangements for the child and the child would never need money or be an accessive demand on the Canadian medical establishment.

Wish you luck.
