While applying for Canadian Citizenship after three years of stay in Canada as a PR, do we need to apply for all of the family members for citizenship or we can apply only who wants the citizenship?
We are French and our Son is UK citizen. we don?t want to apply for our Son and we want him as a UK citizen. Also how can I apply citizenship for my Son without loosing UK Citizenship.

Rick,
Check if Canada and UK have a reciprocal dual citizenship agreement. If they do then I guess you can apply for CAnadian citizenship, else you will have to determine which one is more important for you. If you want to keep UK, then you don´t have to do a thing I guess.

Canad needs no agreement with the UK. Caada allows it´s citizens to have a dual citizenship. Whethe the UK allow or not, it´s a different story. I do know may UK citizens who are also Canadian citizens.

Well, Canada is owned by the British Royalty. Brits can have Canadian citizenship without further clarifications. Just inform the British High Commission of the change in your son´s citienship.... So they would update their files if your son is registered with the Brit Embassy.

UK allows dual or multi-citizenship. Once born in the UK, always a subject of the Queen, unless renounced.
