Can some one tell me how much time it takes from IA to final PPR issuance and processes in between (Medicals, interview, proof of funds etc etc)

depends on where u applied,
i applied to buffalo, got my IA in january 2006,
got my passport rquest in july 2006 and landed in august 2006.

Yeah, it completely depends on where you apply from. I applied SW class through Buffalo:
Applied: July 2005
AOR: August 2005
IA: July 2006
Meds: August 2006
PPR: October 2006
If you applied SW class, you usually do your meds after you recieve IA. I think you´d usually do an interview, if required, before that time. Right now Buffalo is fast; it took just 2 months for us between IA and PPR (no interview), but it really goes on a case by case basis. Good luck!
