Yes your fine because if your meds were not approved they would have sent you for a second medical by now. Did you previously post when you took your medicals and was it not in February 2006?

thank you. i did my medical in March, 2006.
The only guess is that my background check has not finished yet. How long will it take?

i also did my medicals in the beginning of march 2006 i am still waiting my bg checks to finish , but i did a security interview on 12-aug-2006 and after i sent the canadian embassy (damascus) they replyed on 1 sep 2006
Please note that background checks are still in process. This is a legal requirement prior to visa issuance and cannot be avoided. As soon as this step is completed we expect to be able to proceed to the final stage of assessment.
Once issued, the visas will be valid until [March 2007], which is the validity of medical exams.
When a final decision is made or if we require additional information, we will contact you. If there is any change in the information submitted for the application please inform us as soon as possible.
