I am a Canadian PR and live in Vancouver from 2001 - 2005. I moved back to Singapore thereafter and found a job with an oil and gas company.
Based on PR immigration rules, I need to be in Canada for 2 out of 5 years at any time. With this new job, this might be difficult to fulfill.
I still want to return to Canada. But I´m not sure how I should approach this. I´ve thought about applying for Canadian citizenship here in Singapore, but Singapore doesn´t accept dual citizenship. I´m afraid that applying in Singapore might jeapordize my application.
Does anyone have any experience in applying for citzenship outside of Canada?

(in reply to: Citizenship) You apply for Citizenship to CIC as per the manuals. Singapore does not decide if you are entitled to Canadian citizenship Canada does.
If you tell the Singapore government you just became a Canadian and your in Singapore they will act on their laws but who says you have to tell the Singapore government?
