Subject: Can I move back to Canada??? |

Hi,
I am a Canadian citizen, but a US permanent resident who lives in the US. My husband has dual citizenship. He´s Canadian and American. My question is if I become a US citizen (have to in order to get a federal job) can I move back to Canada later on or will I have to go through the whole immigration process like I did to come to the US?
Thank you
Trudy

(in reply to: Can I move back to Canada???) Both Canada and the U.S recognize dual citizenship, meaning that if you get U.S citizenship you don´t have to give up your Canadian citizenship. Given this fact, neither you nor your husband would have to go through immigration to return to Canada.
