Wondering if anyone would know this question regarding U.S. citizens who´ve immigrated to Canada.

Looks like only a valid driver´s license is needed from both sides when crossing the U.S./Canadian border by land until 2009. For those who are both U.S. citizens and Canadian PRs, how would going back and forth be tracked for maintaining PR residency requirements? I´m guessing it would not be, and that it´s on the honor system.

I think you are right, that it isn´t really tracked. Many times that I´ve crossed the border I haven´t had to show anything at all, and when I do show a passport, they barely look at it (they have been checking more lately than they used to). Residency requirements are maybe tracked through your address and employment, and your taxes paid. Just a guess.
