| Subject: Need help for an Vancouver Address |
Hi All,
I am landing pretty soon and need help for a temporary Vancouver address where my card can be mailed to. To be honest, I tried but can not find anyone I know.
Here is my plan: land in October and get back to US for another 6 months also.

I´m not sure if the officers would insist on a Canadian address. It seems unlikely. It´s probably not a good idea to rely on someone you do not know to receive your pr card either.
I am doing the same in a couple of week´s time and have the exact same situation. I have been advised (by email) that when I plan to move permanently, I should apply for a travel document from the nearest embassy. It costs $50, and only apply for the card once I´m there.
